    Fabulous

Great staff. Very decorative with the viking theme. Good size room but didn't choose the cheapist. Our friends did that and thier room was tiny. Breakfast was not the best.

    Very good

the windows are not clean; there is not place enough for the suitcase, in particuliar when it is opened (no place to turn anymore)

    Good

The decor of Hotel Viking was fantastic; the rustic wood, ceramic coffee mugs, Viking souvenirs, and the staff wears costumes from the era! A bit cheesy, but also very cool! I would recommend this place for a family traveling with younger children, they would get a kick out of the place. Included in the stay is free use of the outdoor hot tub, sauna, and wi- fi.If anything else, the hot tub is worth it a lone after a long day of hiking and tours!

There was no fan in our bathroom, so whenever somebody took a shower the room would feel damp for hours (even with the windows open). Also, the wi-fi connection if you're on the second floor is very poor.

Small and smelly rooms, would not recommend. Expensive.

    Superb

the style, the staff, the excellent buffet breakfast

    bit far from central reykjavik

    Exceptional

Hotel stuffs are helpful especially the guy in the reception. The location is not too close to downtown Reykjvik but we can get everything we need in the mall it only 5 minutes walk and also the bus stop is just in front of the hotel. Hotel has nice Viking style design and also located by the sea. Our room has a water view and nice quite place to relax after tours with the good price for sure we will come back again in Summer.

    Good

    Looks really typical viking

We asked for a one (big) bed room, but got 2 small beds that could not be moved to put them together

    Exceptional

Staff is always wonderful to us.

The deluxe rooms are worth the money compared to the economy. We have always had the deluxe rooms until this time when we tried the economy one. I asked for an upgrade five minutes later.

    Fabulous

This hotel provides a nice and convenient accomodation which is a good starting point for trips to Reykjavik but also for discovering the rocky Reykjanes peninsula. In particular, we enjoyed the picturesque breakfast room. The staff was friendly and the rooms, although small, were well equipped.

    Good

Viking theme in the lobby, the 'Cave' and the lounge were nice, but the room had little Viking about it which was disappointing to my son. Staff were not the friendliest and rarely seemed to be anybody about to ask questions. Breakfast was good variety. Free coffee and internet computer in lounge were nice touches as well.

Viking theme could have been extended to the rooms. The hot pot was not the most attractive/appealing.

    Good

The bus stop just in front of the hotel lead us conveniently to the city centre and to the airport. The hotel staff was very friendly and guided us also beforehand.

The food at the restaurant was not too good for us and the closest other restaurants near the hotel were pizza places.

That we were only staying for 1 night !!

Rooms very very cramped and small..they had tried to increase their revenue by squeezing more rooms into the hotel..the walls were paperthin. I was woken by their washing machine at 7am on Sunday morning which was 5 rooms away. The fire alarm went off at 10am but there was no staff around to say what to do. All the fire doors closed automatically and we felt trapped and there were no staff in the hotel to tell us whether we should evacuate or not. Turns out someone had burnt the toast. Very over-priced (even for Iceland) for a basic, cramped, noisy single sized room with two small beds. Requested rooms next door to each other as we were travelling with children but given two rooms at opposite ends of the corridoor. Dreadful hotel. The manager was eating his breakfast in the dining room when we arrived for breakfast and he just left his table covered with all his mess, toast crumbs etc and walked out. All other tables were dirty too. Very poor

    Good

The hotel is clean but the rooms do not resemble at all to those presented in the pictures. We chose it for the atmosphere Viking but we finally stayed in a very old fashion bedroom.
